NORTHANGER ABBEY

October 1 – 18, 2026

by Zoe Cooper

Catherine Morland knows little of the world, but who needs real-life experience when you have novels to guide you? Seizing her chance to escape her claustrophobic family and join the smart set in Bath, she meets worldly, sophisticated Isabella Thorpe – Iz, to her friends – and so Cath's very own adventure begins. This playful and surprising reimagining of Northanger Abbey is infused with the spirit of Jane Austen's original novel and fizzes with imagination and humor.

RETURN TO SEYMOUR STREET

December 3 – 20, 2026

by Tom Dudzick

Peter Witkowski, an author, now divorced, visits his empty, run-down boyhood house on Seymour Street in Buffalo’s Polish East Side and, within that nostalgic atmosphere, attempts to rekindle a romance with his childhood sweetheart, the girl next door, Irene. She’s now a West Coast TV producer and the show-runner for a “Fixer Upper” pilot episode that wants to rehab Peter’s old house. But Irene’s also a widow with a 14-year-old son, Gary, a telekinetic psychic who can communicate with the beyond. Just as things are looking up for Peter and Irene, Gary starts saying things like, “We’re not alone here.” The grownups’ first instinct is to get out of that house fast until they are trapped by a Buffalo snowstorm.

MARJORIE PRIME

January 21 - February 7, 2027

by Tom Dudzick

It’s the age of artificial intelligence, and 85-year-old Marjorie – a jumble of disparate, fading memories – has a handsome new companion who’s programmed to feed the story of her life back to her. What would we remember, and what would we forget, if given the chance? In this richly spare, wondrous new play, Jordan Harrison explores the mysteries of human identity and the limits – if any – of what technology can replace.
